Kid's Chaps
Chinks
Chaps are all made in house using the best and most practical leathers and hardware available. As a standard, we use 4/5 ounce leather for most chaps. This can vary depending on feel, use, or just personal preference. Some people prefer a heavier weight in a work chap, and once in a while someone will want something lighter; usually bareback riders. This is a pretty durable thickness for leather while still maintaining a soft and comfortable feel that easily breaks in. (Samples available)We keep a large variety of hardware and Conchos on hand to match up to projects by what seems to look best. We can also provide pictures to choose from. Custom buckle sets and Conchos are also available if you desire, or we can put on what you may want to provide. Most custom hardware we use is supplied by Cowperson Tack (www.cowpersontack.com ). Custom chaps are built to specifications. An order sheet is provided which contains all the necessary information needed when ordering and also includes instructions for measurements. You need to plan on six to eight weeks for delivery of custom chaps. We do our absolute best to get them out faster than that, but build times vary depending on designs, tooling and availability of leather. If we do not have your specific leather on hand, then we will need to order it which could add an additional week or two on to your delivery date.When ordering chaps, I suggest you look at all of our other chaps on this site. Then come up with options you like and we can start the design process from there. If you have a specific design in mind, well do our best to re-create what you have. I will incorporate aspects from other chap builders but I will not copy chaps made by others. You will also notice that there are no prices on our chaps. That is because each pair is made for that customer. These pictures are just samples of work we have done. Many options go into pricing chaps. We will provide quotes that meet your requirements and fit your budget. We will not up sell more than you are asking for. We will just give you the options and you can make the choices. May sound crazy but that is just how we do business!
