Dale (Dink) AndersonAdd Dale Anderson as a Friend on FacebookI am a self-taught leather crafter who began working with leather as a kid and was always trying to make cowboy gear. I did this as a hobby off and on until 2001 when I bought my first leather sewing machine. Shortly thereafter Pro Rodeo Originals (PRO) was formed.I am the fourth generation of a ranching family in Douglas County, Colorado. I have been active all my life in several areas of agriculture such as; showing registered cattle, 4-H Leader, full time cowboying for many years, rodeoing, roping, as well as a bucking bull contractor for a while. My first real project was making a pair of chaps and this became the main focus and the start of this business. Close to 150 pairs later, chaps are still my favorite thing to make. Through the years I have taken on most any type of leather project you can imagine but we try to stick with the things we know and understand the best; chaps, quality using gear and awards.

Kristi AndersonI began working with leather when Dink & I formed PRO in December 2002 and boy have I have learned a lot since then! I enjoy barrel racing and helping with ranch work when I can. Doctoring in the pasture is a fun challenge which is a good switch up for me and the horses. I am very involved in the awards side of the business. I'm always on the lookout for new products from our vendors that can be customized or products that will spur new design ideas we can create. This type of selection allows PRO to offer our customers quality products at a competitive price. We strive to offer a variety of awards that fall in line with organization budgets or just overall product fit for our customers. I'm literally involved with the entire awards process; from creating & submitting a bid to stamping, staining, painting, setting spots, crystal stones, finishing and delivery of our products. Just recently I started learning how to floral carve. Did I mention book work?

Shyla MarshallShyla is the creative one. We have recently teamed up with Shyla and brought her on board to help PRO with the continually growing orders for royalty chaps. Shyla has a definite talent and eye for what works and looks good at these pageants; having held many titles herself and also judging them. Shyla works to create and make available the custom vests that match our custom chaps along with a full line of custom made shirts and other products that are convenient and practical. Shyla is from Logandale, Nevada, where she is very active in the community and spends much of her time riding and competing at Working Cow Horse competitions. She likes all types of outdoor activities but has recently taken on some new creative projects, and is quickly picking up the Sheridan style leather carving. Welcome Shyla!

Chris Damrow The photogenic one! A few years back, PRO purchased a die making business for clicker dies. The thought was to save cost by making our own dies and a little spare money selling a few. It did not take long to realize that I did not have the time or space for this, let alone the talent. Chris agreed to take the die bender, steel rule, miscellaneous parts and give it a try. He has been busy ever since! Chris has been around the ranching and rodeo communities and most of his life and was an avid snowmobile racer, but was never involved in leather production. However, he has always had an uncanny ability for working with metal and all types of fabrication with it. From the first die he made (that is still in use) until now, Chris has been producing and continually improving dies that work exceptionally well, stand up to heavy use, look good and stay sharp. P.S. If you are wondering what they are, clicker dies are basically a cookie cutter type of stamp that is used with a press to cut out leather parts which returns a saving on time, less waste of leather scrap and cost of production; thus lowering the cost on final products.
